Canadian Wealth Management House Opens Calgary Office

Northland Wealth Management, the Canadian firm, has opened an office in Calgary, Alberta, led by Jerry Olynuk, the firm announced yesterday.

The firm uses the same risk management strategies used by university endowments and pension plans when working with private clients, using alternative asset classes such as hedge funds, private equity and real estate.

Olynuk is an experienced chartered financial planner, according to a statement from the firm.

“Jerry demonstrates tremendous experience in portfolio management, legal, tax and succession planning. We are excited that a professional of his calibre has joined us and will oversee our new Calgary office,” Arthur Salzer, chief investment officer and chief executive at the firm, said.

Northland Wealth Management serves families ranging up to $100 million in net worth; it was founded in 2011.
